Niko Männikkö presented the paper “Device-Specific and Contextual Patterns of Screen Use and Their Links to Socio-Emotional Development in Early Childhood” at the 17th International Conference on Child and Adolescent Psychopathology (ICCAP), which took place at the University of Roehampton, London, United Kingdom, from September 8-10, 2025. The paper was co-authored by: Aristides Machado-Rodrigues, Milena Moraes, Cristina Padez, and Daniela Rodrigues. The authors found that, in addition to the duration of screen time, the content, context, and type of device significantly influence the socio-emotional development of young children.
